1962 Maserati 5000GT Allemano Chassis #: AM103040 One of twenty Allemano versions! A total of thirty-two 5000GT’s were made, twenty examples built by Allemano, which was the series coachbuilder. The first showing of this ultimate road-car was at the Turin exhibition in 1959, where Touring of Milan displayed its Shah of Persia creation. The five-liter road car built by Maserati in small numbers between 1960 and 1964 was a bold exercise for any motor manufacturer. Many well-known and influential people such as Aga Khan, Briggs Cunningham and Sig. Agnelli of Fiat owned these cars. This car was owned by Norbert Reuter of Switzerland in the 1990's. After he commissioned it to be restored (to original interior and exterior colors) it was show at the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, where it took first place in its class (1997). The car was sold then to a collector in the USA and has been here since. Here is a wonderful opportunity to own one of Maserati's most significant automobiles ever made!!
